John grew up on the North Side of Chicago. His guitar journey began at age 13 when he started playing electric guitar to annoy his father. The journey continued through rock bands, the college jazz band at Notre Dame, a brief stint as a bass player in a Serbian wedding band (
), pausing briefly while going through his internship, residency, and fellowship training.

The latter two bands continue to perform today. John loves making music and is looking forward to making some great music with IOMT! And we are SO excited to have him making music with us!
