The Island of Misfit Toys is an Oak Park-based band playing your favorite hits from the 70s to today.
Originally founded as a 70s, 80s & 90s cover band, the Island of Misfit Toys started out focusing on the music that influenced its members growing up. As the band grew over the last five years, it began to take on an edgier vibe and fuller sound, making its music its own. The musicianship, energy, and connection on the stage flows out to the audience, bringing audience members to their feet as they dance and sing along.
At the front of the Island of Misfit Toys is colossal vocal talent Christina DeCillo on lead vocals, and guitar virtuoso Dr. John Flaherty on lead guitar. And bringing the rhythm and groove is Jay Harris on bass, Jim Pittacora on drums, and Sarah Konsky on keyboards.
