Gary Soumar joined the Misfits in April of 2021 after their previous guitar player left to join the touring company of Cats (Gary also has a wry sense of humor).
As a child, Gary sang in the Lyric Opera of Chicago Children’s chorus performing in, among others, LaBoheme and the World Premier of Paradise Lost. After college Gary was the touring bass player with prog rock band Humming Frogleg.
Gary is excited to play with the Island of Misfit Toys, he lives with his 6 wives and 17 children in Provo, Utah (ok, ok, his wife – singular – and children in Oak Park, he does not have 17, he has 3 and one is all grown up).
